The Great Dinosaur Hunt

The Great Dinosaur Hunt

A visit to the museum with Gran and Grandpa turns out to be more of an adventure than both Teddy and Pip could have expected. As their imagination runs riot, anything could happen before the end of the day!

In this beautifully written and illustrated children’s book, Helen Flook will capture young readers’ imagination and lead them into a world full of wonder and adventure. This charmingly funny story aimed at five to seven year olds, will appeal to dinosaur fans everywhere, and with the story set partly at National Museum Cardiff, they will soon want to visit the exhibits at the museum for themselves.

With a warm and humorous storyline, engaging text and a colourful adventure, this story will encourage children to use their imagination whilst playing.

“The inspiration for this book evolved from another story which was about dragon's eggs. Some years ago, I worked as an archaeologist digging up all kinds of interesting things; some of which ended up in museums - so I guess these two themes coalesced.

Working up the rough ideas in pencil, to inking in the final illustrations can take several months. So I spent the summer of 2016 working on The Great Dinosaur Hunt!” – Helen Flook
