Manylion

For exactly one hundred full years, between 1898 and 1998 Dolycwrt in Whitland was a country doctor's surgery. Through its windows the author looks at how the doctors' work over a century developed within the community and how the community itself grew alongside the surgery.

But the story is more than this; it is a story of mutual love and respect between patients and their doctors in a world and a time that was, somehow, very different.

The author Roger Penn, known in Whitland as 'Dr Penn's son', has recently retired from a career with Lloyds Bank. Well known as a former Welsh Rugby Union referee, he likes to help promote the glories of Wales' towns and villages.

Dolycwrt is his first major publication
