Liz Haigh

Liz Haigh was born in Cardiff in the 1960s. At the age of 10 she wanted to be a famous author or musician when she grew up, but it wasn’t until she returned to Cardiff in the 1990s that she started to think more seriously about writing. While working as a supply teacher she completed her first children’s book, The Dragon Ring, published by Gomer in 2000. She now works as an occupational therapist in social services, mainly with elderly people, but hears plenty of stories about school from her daughter Rhiannon, who hopes to be an artist when she grows up and has illustrated Liz’ s latest book, Harri Harri and the Cat Club.
