Dyfed Elis-Gruffydd

Dyfed Elis-Gruffydd is a graduate of the University of London, reading Physical Geography and Geology. He was awarded his PhD following research into the impact of glaciation in the Brecon Beacons. His academic interest in the geology and geomorphology of Wales is combined with his ability to communicate his knowledge to the public and academics alike. These skills have been honed in his work as lecturer at the City of London Polytechnic and Trinity College, Carmarthen and in his extensive work in publishing – as Head of Information Services at the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, and Editor and later Publishing Director at Gomer Press. His varied career also included a period as Head of the Welsh Woollen Museum – the National Museum of Wales.
