Things aren't looking good for Artie, occasional pupil at Our Lady of the Blessed Angels Junior School. Late once again, Artie just can't stop annoying the important people in his life. Sent out of assembly, cold-shouldered by the girl he fancies and dropped from the baseball team, Artie thinks his day can't get any worse.

And then...who should be waiting for him at the school gates but Jordan Bates and his gang! A mysterious stranger seems to be Artie's only chance of escape.
