The second volume of Kyffin Williams' illustrated autobiography. Kyffin describes his life and experiences in his native Anglesey and London, and also the visits he has made to Austria, France, Italy, Greece, Holland, Scotland, Ireland and Patagonia. Word portraits of people and places abound, painted with the sharp eye for the gestures and foibles of character and the essence of place which one expects from an artist.

A substantial portion of the book is devoted to the artist’s extended visit to Patagonia in the 1960s. Initially depressed by the bleakness of the windswept, inhospitable landscape, he then found that the visit proved to be a formative experience in his artistic development.
