Mary Lloyd Jones Mary Lloyd Jones is one of Wales’s most popular and established artists. Born in Devil’s Bridge in 1934, Mary trained at Cardiff College of Art and has exhibited widely both at home and abroad, including solo shows in New York, London, Cologne and Oslo and recent shows in Italy and Spain.
Inspired by the Welsh landscape and, in particular, the man-made marks on that landscape, her bold expressionist paintings are particularly noted for their use of vibrant and rich colour. Her work is included in many private and public collections including the National Museum of Wales, National Library of Wales, National Assembly for Wales and the Arts Council collection.
