AUTHOR BIOGRAPHIES

Gomer Press is proud to be the publisher of choice of Wales's most eminent authors, and literary figures and artists. From the work of the grandees of the Middle Ages, Dafydd ap Gwilym, Hywel Dda and Iolo Goch to modern icons such as Jan Morris and Idris Davies, literature is well-represented among our publishing list. Eminent natural historians such as William Condry and Jim Perrin have found their place with Gomer, as have visual artists of international standing, such as Sir Kyffin Williams.

Many of the UK's famous authors occasionally publish with Gomer: the poet Gillian Clarke and the award-winning children's authors, Malachy Doyle and Catherine Fisher have published popular titles as well as our home-grown bestsellers, Jenny Sullivan and Ruth Morgan.

Authors of Pont Books, the children's books imprint, have won the Tir na N-Og prize for children's books in 1994, 1997-99 and 2003 and many authors, such as Nicola Davies and Mary Oldham have written books nominated in the top 100 children's books in 2001 and 2003.
